Our Connections Project
Through our Connections Project we have been collecting ideas about how we can better connect with our clients and members. This will result in a greater involvement of members in future planning and consultations.
Between December 2009 and March 2010 we completed a series of 8 community based consultations in Perth and regional WA. At these consultations members shared their experiences and opinions on how the Association currently consults with and involves people in providing feedback.
Approximately 100 people participated and shared their experiences, insights and ideas. Again, a big thankyou to everyone who gave their time and feedback!
The following phase of the Connections Project was a state-wide survey. In mid April 2010, members received a copy of and/or information about how to participate in the survey. This survey has now been closed.
To our delight, over 300 survey forms were received with some people taking advantage of the opportunity to complete the survey online or via a phone interview.
A phone survey was then conducted with a randomly selected group of clients who have not been involved with the Association for a number of years. We participated in a Tele-link conference call phone consultation and finally, a series of interviews were completed to seek insight as to how we can more effectively engage with Aboriginal people, communities and service providers.
Keep a lookout on the website for the Connections Project results!
We will post information very soon of what we've learned and the actions that will result. This information will also be included in our Community Insight magazine.
For people who speak languages other than English, translations can be arranged upon request.
Although the Connections Project consultations and surveys have now finished, we welcome your feedback, views any time of the year!
