Vision Management Centre

A client’s first contact with us is through our Vision Management Centre. Professional and friendly staff provide optometric examination, assessment, prescription, provision of optical aids and advice on techniques to make better use of remaining vision.

Confident Living Centre

In our Confident Living Centre clients undertake a range of training opportunities and participate in formal and informal recreation, leisure and social activities. The Centre gives clients opportunities for peer support and fellowship – critical ingredients for sustained health and wellbeing.

Lotterywest Children's Centre

The Lotterywest Children’s Centre, Perron Early Learning Centre and Variety Childrens Resource Centre provide children with venues for kindy and playgroup. Children can access the latest technology for education and recreation, including a Mega Theatre and purpose-built Club Room. The facilities also provide a space for our specialist staff to work individually with children and families.

Handa Sports Academy and Recreation Centre

Building confidence and promoting wellness are central to our philosophy. Containing a large sports hall and gymnasium, the Handa Sports Academy and Recreation Centre is ideal for sports tailored to people with a vision impairment. Fitness programs include individual and team sports.

Industry Skills Centre

Vision loss can mean isolation in a world that relies heavily on sight for information and communication. We assist people to use technology and specialist products for day-to-day activities, to overcome problems with reading and writing, or to develop essential job skills in order to find employment. Our expert technical staff provide advice and support to assist people who are blind or vision impaired, employers, or other organisations to select and install appropriate assistive technology. Our group-based Braille learning environment offers a social and self-paced experience.

Dr Geoff Gallop Braille and Talking Book Library

The Braille and Talking Book Library and Resource Centre provides ‘talking books’ using the latest digital technology. It allows us to improve and expand our services to regional clients throughout Western Australia.

Guide Dog Conference Centre

The Conference Centre supports our community awareness program by providing conference and meeting facilities including the 120 seat Wesfarmers Theatrette. It is available for booking by external groups.
