Built Environments
Access for people with disabilities is governed by significant Australian legislation and regulations. We are committed to working with other organisations in order to make the broader community more accessible to people with a disability.
Nationally, there are three significant regulations that govern access for people with disabilities:
- Disability Discrimination Act (1992), specifically the
- Building Code of Australia
- Australian Standards.
Our Access Focus team can help your business comply with these regulations. Contact us on (08) 9311 8202 or access.focus@guidedogswa.com.au for more information.
With awareness and planning it's possible to increase the access of services, facilities and premises. In order to provide guidance to both service providers and designers in the built environment, we have developed the following public policy related documents:
- Providing Access for People Who Are Blind or Vision Impaired (doc, 461kb)
