Community Education
At the Association for the Blind of WA - Guide Dogs WA, we encourage the community to focus on the ability in disability.
We provide information and services to businesses, employers, educators, students and health professionals as part of our role in educating the community about blindness and vision loss.
We work with all sectors of the community to:
- Increase awareness of blindness and vision loss
- Improve accessibility of services, information and built environments.
- Ensure staff training is up to date.
We also offer a range of professional development opportunities on everything from prevention of blindness to sighted guiding and communication strategies.
