World Sight Day is an international day of awareness around the global issue of avoidable blindness and vision impairment. In 2010, World Sight Day will be celebrated on 14 October.
The Association, in collaboration with Vision 2020, aims to raise awareness of the impact of blindness and vision impairment on individuals and the community.
75 per cent of vision loss is preventable or treatable, so we encourage everyone to get their eyes tested. Regular eye tests are key to early detection-particularly if you are over 40, have diabetes or have a family history of eye disease.
