On Monday 30 January Industry Skills Centre students at the Association will head back to the classroom to begin their first semester for 2012.
Amongst those returning will be Kewdale resident Jonathan Mills, who joined a group of students graduating with a Certificate I in Information Technology from the Industry Skills Centre in December last year.
This year Jonathan will study the Certificate III in Business.
‘I really enjoyed studying Certificate I last year. I'm vision impaired and the help I received from our trainers was great. Everyone was so friendly and easy to get along with, so of course I'm keen to continue studying in such a great academic environment,' said Jonathan.
‘As a member of the Association we receive newsletters with information on upcoming events and courses that may take our interest. That's what first sparked my curiosity about studying here at the Association'.
‘My current workplace is quite physical and with my vision impairment it won't be suitable for me for too much longer. At the end of the day, I want to get into the business workforce in a role where I'll use a computer, which will be a much more suitable position for me in the long run'.
