
AwardsAssociation for the Blind AwardsEach year in March the Association holds an Awards Ceremony. The following awards are presented. Angus Stewart Achievement AwardsRecognising outstanding achievement by Western Australians who are blind or vision impaired. Monetary Awards are presented in three categories. Angus Stewart Achievement Awards overview DOC PDF Nomination form Junior Category DOC PDF Nomination form Open Category DOC PDF Nomination form Post Secondary Category DOC PDF Fred and Lorna Craggs Award FundThis Award was endowed with a donation of $100,000 by client, Mrs Lorna Craggs. Monetary awards are presented to school aged West Australians who are blind or vision impaired to assist them to achieve their academic goals. Ida Lloyd FellowshipThe Ida Lloyd Fellowship was endowed with a donation of $50,000 by the late Mrs Ida Lloyd in July 2006. The aim of the Fellowship is to assist young people who are blind or vision impaired to develop social skills and independent living skills. The Association invites nominations from young people to apply for funding for activities which promote the objectives of the Fellowship. This could include course fees, camp fees or specific equipment relating to enhanced independence. Access AwardsThe Association for the Blind Access Awards provide clients of the Association with the opportunity to nominate people, places and services that they feel have successfully addressed access problems faced by people who are blind or vision impaired.
