To Association has partnered with Bookshare.org to provide readers with a print disability access to a wide range of titles in Braille and DAISY text only format. The number of books available to Australian users from Bookshare.org is approximately 11,500. We have a few thousand waiting to be processed, which is likely to increase the number by another 10,000 to 15,000 in the coming months.

The cost to use the Bookshare service is approximately US$75 for the first year of membership and US$50 for each following year. Prices are set by Bookshare.

We require a proof of disability from a certifying agency on the application form we provide to Bookshare. Please download and mail back to us your form and payment. Bookshare membership also includes membership to the Association's digital talking book library services.

Important Notice: Due to the requirements of international copyright law not all books held by Bookshare.org in the United States can be accessed in Australia at this time. We are working with Bookshare.org on this issue.

Signing Up for Bookshare.org

Signing up for bookshare is a two step process. First you should fill out the online registration form. Make sure to include the promotional code ABWA at end of the online form. Then download the form below and send it to us.
