Leave a Bequest
Bequests are a major income stream for the Association - we depend upon them. These generous donations enable us to provide our core services to clients. Providing for your loved ones is most important, but if you are able to leave a gift to the Association, the following information may help you.
A Will is a legal document and should be prepared with the assistance of a trusted legal advisor or trustee. Should you generously decide to leave a gift to the Association, and if you would like to use our correct wording, you can contact us on (08) 9311 8202, or use one of the following clauses:
For a Residuary Bequest
"I give to the Association for the Blind of Western Australia (Inc) all (or stated fraction) the rest, residue and remainder of my estate, whether real or personal, for its general purposes. The receipt of the Treasurer or current officer of the Association will be sufficient discharge to my Executor/Trustee."
For a Set Monetary Gift
"I give to the Association for the Blind of Western Australia (Inc) the sum of $..... for its general purposes and the receipt of the Treasurer or current officer of the Association will be sufficient discharge to my Executor/Trustee."
The Arnold Cook Society
By making a bequest to the Association for the Blind of WA, you join the Arnold Cook Society. This is an honorary membership in recognition of your foresight, generosity and commitment to leaving a bequest to The Association.
The society honours Dr. Arnold Cook, whose pioneering work in establishing the Guide Dog movement in Western Australia has improved the lives of thousands of people who are blind or vision impaired.
