Gift in Will Stories

Unbeknown to Guide Dogs WA, Edna had done something quite incredible when she wrote her last Will: she had decided to leave her estate to Guide Dogs WA. This amazing act of generosity will help more Western Australians in the future.

Puppies Nancy, Belle and Stanley have been named in honour of Western Australians who have left generous gifts in their Will to Guide Dogs WA

Our four most recent puppy arrivals were sponsored by and named in honor of West Australians who left a gift in their Will to Guide Dog WA.

The Arnold Cook Society was named in honour of Dr Arnold Cook who in 1951 established Australia’s first Guide Dog training school right here in Perth.

His support for VisAbility and Guide Dogs WA began in the 1980’s, and over three decades his generosity progressed from giving regularly to our direct mail appeals to becoming a major donor for some of our significant campaigns.
