Looking for PAW-esome team members!

Are you looking for the PAW-fect opportunity to help Guide Dogs in 2017? Are you excited to make a real difference in the lives of West Australians? Can you start straight away?Yellow labrador puppy looks at a Guide Dogs WA Mini Dog

Yes?

Then we want you!

We’re looking for volunteers to sup-PAW-t our Mini Dog program in the Perth Metro area. We’re currently seeking both Mini Dog Collectors and Maintenance Champions, so for more information on each position, visit our Mini Dog Volunteering page.

But—I hear you ask—what is the Mini Dog program?

Mini and Model Dogs are the Guide Dog-shaped collection containers that raise vital funds and awareness of our Guide Dog program here in WA. You might have seen them at the counter of local shops in your area. All donations received in this program are invested directly into our specialist mobility services, including Guide Dogs—making a profound difference to the lives of West Australians who are blind or vision impaired.

“[Helping out] is just a great feeling,” says Lin, Mini Dog Collector.
“It’s a really worthwhile cause and I love the Guide Dogs themselves.”

All you need is:

  • A valid ‘C’ class Driver’s Licence
  • The ability to work with minimal guidance
  • Great communication and interpersonal skills, and
  • The ability to pass a Police Clearance (which we can organise for you!)

Please contact Lauren on lauren.shepherd@guidedogswa.com.au or call (08) 9311 8232 for more information and to kick-start your new position in the Guide Dogs WA team!

These positions are available immediately, so be sure to drop us a line.

We can’t wait to hear from you!

*Please note: your induction may or may not be hosted by Gidgee the Ambassador Dog…
