“I feel totally alone. I don’t feel confident. If I’m in a crowded room, I start to panic. I can’t focus. My heart races and I feel dizzy. I just have to get out of there. But I can’t find my way out!” says Jacqui.
“I’m so grateful to the donors. Without them, I wouldn’t have the opportunity to work with a dog like Pluto. I would miss out on a lot. I owe my quality of life to them.”
Since Bonnie’s arrival, Beau’s anxiety has eased. And with her by his side, Beau’s family can finally relax—because since having Bonnie, he has not had a single seizure.
Despite being on medication, Beau still suffered from seizures. Earlier this year he was rushed to hospital vomiting, after a horrific seizure at school. He had fallen, hitting his head on the desk so hard that he was concussed.
Coco is a walking invitation for people to come up and chat to Robert. He isn’t shy or embarrassed any more. And thanks to Coco, Robert has rediscovered himself.
