In his 30s, Glenn discovered he had an eye condition caused by a rare, mutated gene –one of only three people in Australia to have it.
While he was told he would be legally blind within 10 to 20 years, he lost his vision within five.
Over the last 20 years, Glenn has used many of the services and programs offered by Guide Dogs WA and VisAbility – and built himself a busy, fulfilling life.
He wants to make sure every other West Australian living with low or no vision, disability, illness or other life-challenges has the chance to feel just as supported as he does.
Today, with his second Guide Dog, Walter at his side, Glenn has taken advantage of new technology and tools and built a busy, fulfilling life, a wonderful family and more recently a new job.
