Rio Tinto Take Corporate Challenge Trophy

The 2018 Guide Dog Day Street Appeal’s Corporate Challenge Team from Rio Tinto were visited by Ambassador Dogs, Annie & Eva this morning to present the Corporate Challenge Trophy.
Of the six corporate teams involved on the day, Rio Tinto raised the highest amount of money during the crucial 7 – 9am rush hour across the CBD. Collectively, they raised $3,259, which was matched by Rio Tinto, doubling their total to $6,519. Guide Dogs WA Community Fundraising Co-Ordinator, Lauren Shepherd presented the trophy to Sandra Carroll of Rio Tinto’s Communications Team and fellow team members, at their offices in William Street.
Our team of Ambassador Dogs were found alternative careers, following early retirement from the Guide Dog program and are used for PR opportunities. They spend their time visiting organisations to increase the profile of Guide Dogs, educate people about the program and to raise funds to enable it to continue. If you are interested in joining our business partnership scheme, contact our team to discuss the opportunity in greater depth.
