Meet the New Recruits

20 July, 2020

Look what you and our wonderful Puppy Partners have helped to achieve!

In the last six months, we have welcomed 12 adorable new pups to our Guide Dog training program.

These impossibly cute puppies are currently living with their volunteer Puppy Raisers in the community. During this first stage of training, their life will be an endless round of playing, socialising, accompanying their Puppy Raisers on regular outings and training walks.

Our new recruits will move on to their formal training at around 12-14 months of age where they will learn all about their role as a Guide Dog, Autism Assistance Dog or Therapy Dog.

These 12 new pups represent a world of hope for Western Australians who are blind, vision-impaired or living with a disability. And they have kind people like you to thank for that.

It is your continued support that helps to fund the vet bills, food, training and equipment these puppies need to grow into remarkable working dogs that will transform lives of Western Australians.
